My Background and Skills
I have an undergraduate degree from University of Southern California in Industrial and Systems Engineering and a graduate degree from University of San Francisco in Computer Science. I've been working as a Data Analyst/Engineer for the past 8 years with a primary focus using Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, and many others technologies/languages!
Advanced experience with:
-Power BI designing efficient, operational semantic models and using supporting add-ins (DAX Studios, Tabular Editor, ALM Toolkit) for advanced DAX, monitoring performance, and developing scalable/maintainable reports.
- Tableau across many sectors and a love for reporting extending outside of business hours for private Tableau Public reporting, as can be seen in some below examples.
- SQL primarily utilizing SSMS and T-SQL, experience with stored procedures/window functions/CTEs/Jobs/other ETL scripting tools.
-Python (including data analysis and visualization with pandas/numpy/matplotlib/seaborn/plotly), as can be seen in some below examples.
- Excel advanced with PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP/and many other advanced DAX functions
- Data Engineering - with ETLs, APIs, and utilizing appropriate architectures.
- Google Sheets (REALLY enjoying the combination of the tabular backend + data extraction (i.e. IMPORTHTML) , SQL-like-querying (i.e. QUERY() function) + App Scripting using JavaScript).
